Default Changed Shocks Today

I changed the shocks today. Was is hard? no...Was it tedious? YES...I guess the one that gave me the most trouble was the one on the front drivers side...The Master Cylinder is right in the way. I did have to grind the shock sleeve just a bit to get is to seat properly in the bottom shock mount...And I thought shocks are a breeze..LOL!

when i did mine i had to give the bottom sleeve a smack with a hammer to knock the paint off so it would fit. that only took a few seconds though. mine were pretty easy, sorry yours gave ya some lip.

Honestly, can't tell a whole lot of difference - the truck has 128K miles on it - the shocks were the original ones - so time for a change...

i couldn't really tell with mine at first either. after nailing a few good bumps and not having the rear end hop all over the place is when i realized that my old ones were really shot and that i didn't waste my money on new ones. i have a set of train tracks that are about 6 wide that used to be pretty rough but now i can barely feel them. go aim for some good bumps and you'll be able to tell.

I just put new Bilsteins all around on mine. I had Monroe-matics on it with 30k miles. The Bilsteins really stiffened it up. Kept it from the little shakes/shimmies.
