Default rear leafs

ok boys got a mystery for ya...

i am having my dad do my lift for me as most of you know. but he went and tried to take my leaf spring bolts off, like the ones to hold them to the axles, finger tight... came right off with no problems.. not a big deal because i know i rattled the hell out of that rear, so oh well.. my question to you... how can i tell if i bent the springs, they have no ""hoop" to them, they are flat, even when off teh truck... and they are only 2inch wide. i thought the 2nd gens came with 2.5 wide???

the only reason i am worried about the width, is because i am getting a few inchs out of my lift by means of a tough country add a leaf... they dont fit, the stud in the middle is the wrong size, its to big... the supplied bolt wont fit through the rest of the leafs... and the add a leafs are 25 wide and the trucks leafs are 2 like i siad, so the ubolts wont go over the add a leaf

what the hell is going on here... i am confused on how i can have the worng leafs... if i do

I forget what models have what width springs, but obviously the AAL's you have are wrong. Only thing I know for sure is , that if your leaf springs are flat with no arc to them , you beat the hell out of them and they are shot.

my springs are shot too , I installed a procomp add a leaf and gained back some time plus some lift to match the sport coils in the frt . Mine were opposite of yours , bigger spring , smaller add a leaf . PC's kit came with both sizes of center bolts . They can be had at any spring shop .

1500 gets 2.5", 2500 and 3500 get 3". just spitballing here, but would a V6 model come with 2" springs (i dont know why). maybe somwhere down the line sombody replaced the stock springs with smaller ones.
