Default Cant find right K&N

Went to buy a K&N filter for my round air cleaner and it turns out that none of them fit. I have a Edelbrock 14X3. Went to o rileys and asked about it and the guy gave me a tape measure and i found the one that measured out to 14X3. Went to put it in and it was too big. Took it back and he looked up some part numbers... cross referenced... and all that junk.. only to bring up the K&N filter I had just purchased. Need some help here

It will fit. If its 14x3. I had a hell of a time getting my K&N to fit into an eldelbrock air cleaner. you have to wrestle with it but it will fit.

I ran a standard 14" x 2.5" filter when I had mine. I believe K&N makes a 14x 2.75" filter (use their search based on dimensions)

Ive still got the box for my k&n #s are E-1650 on the side of the box. yes it was a tight fit but once you wrestle it in there it fits nice and snug.

the e-1650 is the one i have too (mr.gasket base) and mine fits. when i take it off i have to mess with the filter and the bottom plate for a minute to get them together. then after i put it on and get the s bolt on i have to mess with the lid for a minute to get it on right. it fits pretty tight but that just makes a good seal.

my paper filter was 13.75" and the k&n is 14". that bothered me a little when i got it because the base said that it was 14" but it was talking about the outside diameter and not the filter. then i asked the same ? you did and got the same answers your getting. it'll fit nice and snug, you'll have to sweet talk it a little and ease it in there but you can make it fit.
