I think Jason has the right idea, do everything at once. The person who is doing the gears for me told me that now is the time to get the LSD, if ever, but I don't have another $300 budgeted for this, especially since I want to get a tranny cooler and a nice set of fog lights before the summer is out. Also Jason, I checked out your CarDomain page, and you have a really nice truck.

Budgets are budgets. You already kicked it into gear it sounds like. Not a big deal in the scheme of life, just be a little more $$$ later down the road.

Thanks for the compliments!

I am going to get it done eventually, just like I'm going to get a trans cooler and fog lights and fix the rust on the driver door, and replaced the cracked dash, and fix the slowly ripping fabric on the driver seat... the list will never end I suppose.

It never does. Welcome to owning an 8 year old vehicle! Trust me, most of us are right there with you.

You gotta admit though, some of it feels good when you get done, like "I did that." You can take pride in her. And she is more metal and less plastic than most other cars on the road.

As long as I'm hanging around here, the mod list seems to be getting longer and longer haha. But yeah, it is cool to get things accomplished. Last summer I replaced the governor pressure sensor and solenoid, and I felt proud of myself when I started it up, and the check engine light was gone, and she ran and shifted correctly again.

And yes, a Ram is a big, safe truck in the hands of most drivers. I work at an auto paint supply store, and sometimes when looking for a paint code on a car, lifting up the plastic hood, it makes me glad that I have 5000 lbs around me when I'm driving.

Its an expensive upgrade. But the biggest bang for the buck. I got a 4.56 rp set and install kit sitting in the garage. Just waiting to get the front gears and a new limited slip. Let us know how you like them.
