Thanks fellas for the compliments. The engine is sort of clean haha, I have a valve cover gasket leak on the passenger side toward the back near cylinder 8 I believe. I saw that the header was a little saturated and there was oil buildup around the lip of the valve cover. I tightened the bolts that I could but I really just need to replace the gaskets. That probably accounts for the reason I am losing 1.5 quarts or so every oil change. Looked down the TB and no oil pools, so I believe the plenum is fine.

I think I read on another post that the valve cover gaskets are reusable on these trucks? I could be wrong, someone else can correct me if I'm wrong. I've never changed mine. When I had a minor leak a while back, I just tightened it up and problem solved.

they are re-usable. they are metal reinforced rubber tightened to 95" lbs. they tend to get loose on the magnum engines, probably because the gasket is thick and squishy and the torque is pretty low on the bolts. i just replaced mine a month ago and i had 5 loose bolts on each cover. the originals looked pretty bad too so i went with the new ones.

Thanks guys, well thats good to know they are re-usable. I will take off those pain in the *** clips on some of the bolts and torque them down. And they are the heavy duty Bilsteins.
