alright how hard is it gonna really be
its not as bad as it looks.
tip - once you get the fan and shroud off, climb over in the engine bay and stand in front of the motor. it makes it a LOT easier. pull up a picnic table or something in front of the truck to hold tools and parts.
tip - you'll need a torque wrench. the $10-20 autozone one is ok.
tip - you'll need a 3/8" fuel line disconnect. the $5 plastic one at az is ok.
tip - if your dist cap and rotor are old, replace those and forget the wires.
more - read over steve's and other diy. the pictures are all missing, but the instructions are good.

just my opinion, but i'd remove the fan so i could stand inside. otherwise, unless you find a good foothold over in there somewhere, then you're standing on a bucket and/or leaning over inside a really tall truck.
edit - also, you don't have to pull the fuse and run it till it dies and all that stuff. just put a rag under the fuel disconnect and pop it loose. only a few drips will run out.

Take your time. If your going to go into to this pell mell, then you don't need to be even thinking about doing it.
Get some ziplock baggies, and a few sharpies. One should be black, and the other silver. This will help you mark items.
I can't say it enough, take your time. Slow down, do it methodically, and you'll get through it. Oh, and you'll want a cooler full of beer next to ya as well.

well me being 18 and my dad helping me i dont no about the beer haha but im sure we can get it done i mean we have done everything else on this truck but we will take our time do you think two days is enough i mean i think on day for disassemble and then a day for reassemble
with 2 people, it should be easy, but this is coming from someone who is used to working on very large equipment (its not uncommon for me to have my hands stained with grease and oil for days or weeks at a time, hell i did b/c my senior project)
