Default 37's on my truck?

So i have a 99 dodge ram 2500, i have a buddy that has some 37's for my rim and i was wondering if those would fit on my stock 2500 ride hieght. Im going to add a 2.5'' spacer to the front end to level it out. Right now with 32'' tires there is 12.5'' inches from the top of the tire to the top of the wheel well.

Its usually not the wheel wells that limit us, its the turning. 33s fit in the wheel well easily of a 1500, but when you turn, they may sometimes scrape against suspension components of some 1500s.

With the leveling kit, you might be able to fit 37s. However, I do not know for 100% sure. I'd wait for more responses from others who have 2500s. I'd also post in the diesel forum, since there are more 2500s over there, and see what they say.

Like Jason said, the problem isn't so much the wheel well. I doubt you will be able to get a 37 to fit without rubbing on something when turning the wheel with that small of a lift. Even if you could fit them with the truck standing still on flat ground, the other problem is when turning the wheel while the suspension is compressed unequally, as in an off-road situation. That is when you may find the edge of your tire making contact with some point on your wheel well. I've seen guys rip off a fender in a situation like that. You can get away with more in the rear because the tires don't turn, but in front you have to factor in not only the wheels turning through their full arc, but also with the suspension going through its full travel. And wheel offset has a lot to do with it, as well. I think you'll need at least a 5" lift to safely run 37" tires.

you wouldnt want to run 37s on a truck that low, and i seriously doubt you could even turn out of the driveway without the tires majorly binding on something. +1 on the 5" kit.

you could have a 345" lift and 35s would still rub if you use the stock backspace.

if you use spacers, then the tires will DEFINATLY hit the wheelwells, i just dont think 37s are a good choice unless you get a bigger lift.

Spacers no bueno for off-roading.
