Default Blower motor issue

My blower motor won't run. I pulled it, hooked it up directly to 12V, and it spun like crazy. I replaced the blower motor resistor @ $82 and still no joy. I then tested the blower motor relay as per the Haynes manual, and it tested good. I am at a loss, have searched and googled, and don't know what else to check. I would appreciate any ideas.

If you checked the blower, the fuses, the relays, have you checked the switch? Then the only thing left is a loose ground, or a wire somewhere that is not transmitting power to the right place. You have to trace back the power lines and see where the break is. This is one of those tedious jobs of pin the multimeter on the problem wire.

check for power at the plug for the blower motor since you haven't done that yet.

Did you check the fuse or only the relay? Did you check for power at the fuse? And if you did check the fuse, did you do it visually or with an ohm meter or swap it with another 10 amp?

BTW, I'm sorry that everyone that has had a blower motor problem on here wasn't waiting for your thread and didn't reply to it 5 minutes later. LOL It's not like that is a major issue on these trucks.

I do appreciate everybody's help on this. I dont have power going to the fan, so I think I might be looking at a faulty ground. Will run it to ground this weekend. Thank you all again for your help.
