Default Skyjacker 3" vs Tuff Country 3" which is better?

I'm looking for a 3" lift for my 96 Ram 1500 Club. I like the Skyjacker since it's got AAL and Springs, the Tuff Country only has spacers for the front but leafs for the rear.

This truck is only used offroad for camping, not anything heavy. Would I notice a big difference between spacers vs springs? There is a $100 diff between them so it would need to be a big difference. The Skyjacker is 500 and the Tuff is 400, do those sound like reasonable prices?

I've also got airlift air bags on it, I don't see them being an issue as the AAL is below the current leaf and the air springs mount on the top, does that sound correct?

if your not flexing the truck out to the max, spacers should be just fine, thats what i have in mine and it works great

and you won't have any problems with the airbags, other than you may need longer bolts for them depending on how they mount to the spring pack

If you're gonna do it, do it right. Definately get a Skyjacker. I had an '01 Ram QC with a 3" Skyjacker.... came out pretty good The front shocks had to be replaced... but they were really good about it and warrantied them! back in the day it cost me $900 including installation.

acsampels79, where'd you get that deal? I'd be looking at around $640 cheapest I can find.

You'd be happy with either lift. I have mostly rough country components up front and have used my truck for some fairly serious flexing without failure. The only thing I'd be leery of is if the R/C kit has tube links, which I don't believe are as tough as the square tube links I have.
You can ask them to substitute an AAL for your rear spacers. It'll add a few $ to the cost. The rep might even give you a deal.

I got my 3" with the coils and add a leafs and upgraded gas shocks for 485 shipped. Read the sig. The shocks are R/C and so far so good with them.

I recently put a 3" Rough Country lift on my 00 Sport. 3 inch lift coils and new upper and lower control arms. I opted for a 2 inch AAL instead the blocks and went with Bilstein 5100s instead of the Rough Country shocks. Overall seems very well made and I am pleased with how it turned out. Oh and I added Suspension Maxx end links for the stabilizer bar and a Skyjacker stabilizer.
