Default P0123 (TPS volt hight) and AC problem??

Hey!

We've got a 2000 5.9 Gas here and when its running with AC off everything fine. As soon as we turn on the AC the TPS read 4.92 volts and triggers the code.

Ive replaced the PCM and TPS no change. This was after probing and doing pinouts. I can't seem to find anything wrong except on the Org/blue wire from the TPS (TPS line in to pcm) it was reading 4.92 with the truck off. I bypassed the AC switches (no change) Unplugged the compressor while running (No change)...

Please help!

The IAC on back of the TB may be the problem. Remove it and clean it, and the bore in goes in to on the TB. Don't spin it or push it in when cleaning. Just spray it off and reinstall when dry. It's free to try anyway.

might have a short in the wiring harness as the TPS and A/C sensors run down the same harness.

Glad you got it figured out, I'm also glad you gave me another reason for not wasting money on a remote start. Only problem is, that this is the second post today, that it was the remote start as the cause . Now I have to recommend that instead of the plenum gasket. Damn, thought the plenum suggestion would keep me good for a while.
