Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I would rather do that than create a new one.
I'm planning to do this soon and was wondering if somebody can tell me how much paint I'll need. I want to do both the top and bottom trim.

I used the black Duplicolor bumper/trim paint. I cleaned, sanded, used the duplicolor adhesion promoter (2 coats), then did about 5/6 coats of black on the gray bumper.

You can see the bottom part is black. This is when I realized the top, stock black, didn't match because it was faded, so I painted that, too.
I also did all the back bumper/trim pieces.

I used almost 2 full cans on the bottom, front bumper. and 1 can of the adhesion promoter.

I don't seem to have much of a back bumper..... a fair percentage of it has returned to the iron oxide it was originally. And there aren't any painted ones (Sport Package, body color bumper) in the yards around here. I don't even wanna consider the price of a 'new' one........
I figure I'd post some pics here instead of starting a different thread...
Just did my bumper cover/trim yesterday and today with Satin Black Krylon Fusion spray paint, $6 at Ace Hardware. I just cleaned everything with a rag and all-purpose cleaner, then taped everything off with masking tape & newspaper. Painted a coat, waited a half hour then painted again. I suck spray painting so it's uneven everywhere and I did pretty bad with taping things off so I missed a few small spots, however you can barely notice.
