I was thinking of painting that gray faded lokking plasted on the underside of the frint bumper. It looks bad being that grey color from the factory especially cause the rest of the plastic on my truck is in good shape and still a dark black color. I want to paint it black to match the plastic on the top bumer. Is this a good idea or will I regret it? If anyone has done this can you tell me how to do it? Any pictures would be great.

I saw a bumper cover at latemodelrestoration.com for about $49. It cam in black or primer. Might just dress up that tired old bumper nicely.

I would strongly recommend Duplicolor Bumper and trim paint. I used it and it turned out perfectly. It's $7 a can, but well worth it. Check my signature picture.

Painting my front bumper was the best thing I ever did in my opinion. Used Krylon. Looks great! No peeling or chipping and its been in the sun a lot. Kylon Plastic paint holds up great.
