Those look good.

You can see the KR in your second pic.

I would think they would loud as hell on pavement though.

Let us know how well they hold up on hot pavement driving.

Ha, well its up to you. They are available. Thats an awful long way to drive for some tires though. I used to head down to Loretta Lynns Ranch to race the Amateur National Motocross race, and if I remember correctly it took a long full day for the trip in a motorhome with an enclosed trailer.

Nice purchase. I see tires like that for sale around here all the time as left overs from the XRRA races we have out here. Some are new, others were used just for that day of the race. Since many of the teams are sponsored, they get new tires every time out, so they don't seem to mind selling their used/old ones to make a few extra bucks for the team. I've thought about buying some, but most are stamped off-road use only or are custom cut for the track conditions. Since I drive on the road more then I off-road these days, i've shyed away from them.

if you're going to grind off some words on the sidewall i bet a sanding flap wheel for an angle grinder would make short work of it without digging into the tire.

i would think the off road use only deal is because of a soft rubber (low treadwear) and maybe a low speed rating.
