Default how to keep water out of trany and distributor cap???

went out last weekend and was showing some posers how to really mud and ended up getting water in my trany and some mud and water in my distributor cap (yeah i know showing off costed me lol) but i was gonna see if anyone knew of any ways to keep that from happening again (and dont say dont go through deep water bc thats not gonna happen lol) but is there anything i can do to help prevent it from getting in?? any special seals or anything???

lol i just did that last night but i didnt know if that would fix it or if it needed anything else but if thats all it takes then thanks hope it works this time lol

I guess you could try some tape around it. I have never had a problem with it.

damn man how deep are you going. the distributor cap is right at the top of the firewall.
you could put a light coat of rtv on the base of the cap.

a bigger concern - have you got a snorkel kit to keep water out of the tb. you suck in water there and you're toast.

question - how is water getting in the tranny ? dipstick tube ? i didn't think there was a vent. if you're that deep, remove dipstick and clamp a piece of hose over the pipe and rout it up higher.

we need pics of this deep water crossing. sounds like one of those - hey y'all, watch this.

lol it is a hey yall watch this and i have no idea how its getting in thats why i was asking yall to see if anyone knew of anywhere it would be getting in and lets just say its deep enough to where the whole inside of my truck is covered in mud even my gauges are covered i couldnt even see how fast i was going and if yall want pics ill get yall some on saturday bc ill be heading back out there so ill have yall some pics up on sunday how does that sound lol

get a 4x4 wow bc ive never heard that one before damn if only i had thought of that one before, only sad thing is that my 2 wheel drive was out doing some of the 4x4s there going through all the same mud holes and everything so how bout next time you come up with something like a real put down or some actual advice
