yea it was me with the hot battery cable i traced it all the way down to the starter it had a short in it but i changed it and havent had a problem sience also thanks fo the help with that too

Awww...****. If you got the right tools and are pretty dexterious great. You don't to remove the alternator.
I'm pretty ham fisted, and because I have a messed up hand, any extra room I get makes it easy. Heck you could just remove the bolt, loosen the pivot and roll it out the way. It would take me an extra two minutes, including the belt.
I'm not sure the OP has a lot of tools and a magnet, so thats why I suggested the extra step.
