Not if you ever need to take things apart again. Red requires heat to disassemble. There are very few places it is used, mostly on fasteners subjected to high stress or that should they loosen could cause catastrophic failure and/or injury and generally on bolts 3/8" or larger. Blue is fine for something like this.

Cutting the rail is very time consuming , but if you look at how the injecter sits , there is room for improvement there via a dremmel tool . Makes for a better spray pattern in the combustion chamber . I did it on my jeep which works fantastic . And get new o-rings for the injecters too .

here's a reference pic
onegoodmason is that just a paper element fuel filter?
that is a great idea.

Thanks , I came up with it after I installed a 01 5.2 in my 95 Grand Cherokee . I so had everything cleaned to perfection ....almost . When I did the down the TB glance a month later during an inspection , I noticed a bunch of junk coming from the PCV line . I replaced the PCV with a mopar part also , it functioned properly . The residue was from the blow-by . I installed a cleanable gas filter with a glass shell to I could moniter it . most any fuel filtr should work fine . I rinse it every 3-5000K when I change the oil . My plenum remains clean , not spotless , but clean .

I think it was on some older cars , but it just made sense to filter the vacumn in this case .

Snook , your really gonna need that torque wrench for inch pds for both the plenum and intake install if I remember correctly
