Ok, well I wish I had all the information on this truck, but I bought in the form you see. The original owner had the truck from the day it came off the showroom. He traded it to a dealership for another Dodge, but 2500. The truck has all original equipment, from what I can tell, except for the lit, the steering stabilizer, the wheels and the tires. It has a body lift, but I can't find my tape measure to see if it is 2 or 3 inches. The truck only has 75000 miles on it right now. I bought it with 73900 miles, which I thought seemed pretty good. I figure someone will ask about cost so here it goes. I had an 02 xterra with 125000 and bad brakes, bad tires and the beginnings of a bad supercharger (made funny noises and very little power). So I talked him into a trade that involved him doing all the work, including the title and the plate fees. He also had it detailed very well. I think I got a decent deal, but no that my X was worth about 8000 and he wanted 7800 for the truck. I guess I paid a little more for what I wanted.

Now I believe they are the MC II's, a buddy of mine had them for a long time and he said that's what they are.
The Cepeck FCII's are ok, I guess. They aren't loud and the one place I think they are lacking is in the wet traction. I found a hole that had a steep outcropping of hardened soil. It was probably about 4 ft tall and near verticle. The truck was sitting in the water and would not climb the dirt, could have been the water, could have been the off camber of going up in the front or could have been the tire. But one thing is for sure, I think it should have done it and it didn't.

Ok,to save on threads, I have a few questions.
First, I want to know what people think about these coils? I want to get rid of the coil spacers and put in the new lift springs. http://www.topguncustomz.com/Store/G...view=177098796
Second, I want to know more about shackle reversals? I have lift blocks in the rear and would love to be able to take them out of the equation and have a better lift all around.

Any information is greatly appreciated and yes I have searched about both, but want to get more opinions rather than information.

Thomas

Those coils are nice, but do you have a 5" lift already, or just the coil spacers? You will need different (longer) control arms for these coils, as well as a drop pitman arm and track bar lowering bracket (if you don't already). If you only have a coil spacer (whichit looks like that is it) and you like the overall height of it now, I suggest getting a set of 3" coil springs a be done with it. You wont have to change anything else in the front (3" is the max for stock components).

As far as the shackle flip goes, BDS sells one. Typical lift gains are around 5", so if you remove the factory block you should be around 2-2 1/2" of overall lift (which will match the 3" front lift fairly well). You will also have to install a zero rate block, which will recenter the axle (because lowering the only rear of the spring shoves the axle into the front of the wheel well).

Default Lift

I thought I had the 5 inch lift because I can clear the 35's with a lot of room. The lower control arms are new and I think I have the drop brackets for both the pitman arm and the track bar, but without actually knowing what lift I have it is difficult for me to tell. I am going to spend a little time with my truck this upcoming week as I just finished the summer semester of college and have free time. I am pissed about not having my tape measure, but will get a new one. So I will be able to tell how big the coils spacer measures. I am pretty sure it is a 3 inch, but I want to get five inch springs so that I can get more lift as well. I thought about doing a full five inch lift kit, but I don't want all the stuff for the rear. I have tried to contact BDS via email and they haven't replied. I think I am going to call them today and find out how much it would cost for them to build the system I want. I am actually close enough that I could drive up there and pick the parts up.

What are some other ways of dealing with the front track bar issue?

Thomas

DT Profab... awesome upgrade. Also, Thuren Fabrication units are very nice too, but I have read that he's not been making them for a little bit... worth checking though, very nice quality stuff.
