Default Complete custom exhaust

I've got a set of pace setter long tube headers that have been sitting in the garage for a while and im about ready to do my exhaust system. The set up will be headers to y pipe to another y but oposite for a qtp exhaust cutout then back to a muffler and out the tail pipe. My questions are what size piping should i run from the headers on back. The headers are 3 inch collector and i was thinkin of runnin 2 inch pipe from each header to the y then steppin it up to 2 1/2 inch and keep 2 1/2 all the way out the back. Any one have any input or know the best diameter piping for most power output?

well i dont wanna make it too restrictive to where it hurts top end or to big to hurt low end. just the best even power distribution. lastright you said you run 2.5 on your long tubes. is that 2.5 after the headers into the y and then 2.5 out the back? DR. you say you run 3 inch. do you have headers? if so what type and what are the sizes from the headers to the tail pipe. and would you say there were power gains throughout the entire rpm range. and also another question how do your guys trucks sound with this.and ive done the kegger mod btw.

No headers have em in garage but needed my truck so I had use the manifolds but they go into 3 inch right off the flange, also with no cats and 2 dual out dynomax ultra flows out the sides it sounds really mean but you can still cruise through town without getting pulled over, (honestly after this system ill never use another(once the headers are on))

heres
my 5.2, it has pacesetter shorties, stock 2" downpipes into 3" ypipe and no cat to a IMCO turbo and the split right after the muffler and out the side.....i have a ported tb and heads ported and shaved, go to my other vids and i have one without the tips......im going to extend it out the back with just a single 3" pipe b/c right now the tips have a fluttering sound that i dont like....turn up your volume

did you notice a significant difference in power after you installed that system.

eh, not sure, it had dual straight pipes on it when i got it, then i gutted the cat, then this, so its never had stock pipes on it since ive had it.....i have slightly larger than stock tires on it and i can spin them and sometimes bark 2nd without powerbraking,
