that is why I said looking for a "deal"

If I found a deal on complete axles. I could do the swap and sell the stock axles. But it would need to be a deal. Since I mostly just need the axles for towing the boat. I could put the boat in dry storage for 150.00 a month during the summer.

Try a junk yard. 4.56 are going to be hard to find. 4.10's are going to be more commen.

4.10 really isn't worth the cost.

1500.

I was looking at specs. the nv4500 has superior gearing in 1-3 gears. It might be better to swap manual trans 3500 to the nv4500. Looking at a gear calc the nv4500 would be stronger in 1st gear with stock 3.55 than the nv3500 with 4.56. Plus the nv4500 would then offer better MPG in 5th gear when not towing a load since the 4-5 gears are the same.

You do know that 2500 had 3" wide rear leaf?

so, it doesn't matter? nv4500 tranmission has nothing to do with rear springs.
