Lift & Factory Rake Question
Interesting find, but as I already mentioned for the minimal gain in change, it probably wouldn't be worth the effort plus cost for the gain. I do find a lot of humor in dip****s just like you so willing to jump in and say that I am wrong, but oddly never have the time to say why. The point is still the same. You add lift you change caster. You can't adjust caster. You can adjust the axle which will change the caster, but also has other negative impacts to other components. If you have the time please point out what is wrong.
Adjustable upper and lower arms will keep the caster to factory settings . The only negative effect is the pinion angle which should have presidence over the caster settings anyways because of it's minimal effects . Nothing good shocks and power steering can't look after . Most ppl who wheel accept the harsher ride and tighter steering effects . My jeep is lifted 5" and is set to the factory spec on the whl alignment , how can this be ?
Bottom line , your saying things can't be adjusted when they can or are you , it might cost money to get the parts , but they are out there . I'm so confused after you said this :
"You add lift you change caster. You can't adjust caster. You can adjust the axle which will change the caster" If adjusting the axle changes the caster , can it not also be said adjusting the axle adjusts the caster ?
You are correct , they are called "cam bolts". i'm getting ready to adjust mine this weekend.

but i think the conversation got switched to "camber" now... some how.
i thought it was about " caster" cam bolts are for adjusting the "caster".
call the dodge dealership, ask for the service department. they will help.
this post keeps going to the wrong page. can someone help me with this. ha ha. really. i dont get it.

ya know one neat (expensive) way to fix caster angles on a highly lifted solid front end??
build you own front end, set the knuckles so they are at the right angle for your lift...
expensive i know, just sayin....
