So today i went and installed my brand new hughes engines 50mm throttle body. i believe they discontinued making it because i dont see it on the website anymore, but could be wrong. it is a piece of art!! not to mention i got it for a whopping price of $200 off of ebay compared to $400 originally priced. what an easy install it was!! but of course when i had the tb off, i dreaded to look down inside of the intake manifold, but low and behold, the inside had a light film of oil coated all around inside. i could not find any puddles of oil, so i figure its just starting to leak bc it was dry about 6 months ago. well another reason to eventually get that fi airgap intake manifold later on down the line. i started up the truck and wow, you would of thought i had a supercharger on there it whistled so loud. i jumped in and took it down the road. throttle response is amazing!! this piece just added to the puzzle for my engine, especially with the 1.7 rr i installed a while back. i will see if i get any better mpg tommorrow. traveling about 180 miles. so we will see. here are some pics. and btw i will have the stock throttle body for sale. ill put an add in the parts section or send me a pm if youre interested.
