1999 Dodge Ram stereo

I have installed a new JVC KD G430 car stereo in my 1999 dodge ram 1500 quad cab 2nd generation truck. I have all power but no sound whats up with this does anyone know the answer. My original stereo was working only on the passenger side speakers so I replace the stereo thinking this was the problem.
