You could just as easily be talking about drunk driving and it would be just as dumb an argument.

Let me tell you about stupid. I have a cousin whose husband has a 2006 Silverado 3500 with the Duramax. This guy used to own 3 gas stations, but now just rebuilds and services the gas pumps. He pulls a 36 foot gooseneck trailer that weighs 7800 lbs unloaded. The other day he got pulled over by a trooper doing 52 in a 45, while pulling this trailer loaded with gas pumps. The trooper though that the load might be a little heavy and escorted him to a weigh station to check it. This guy showed me the citation for $340. He was hauling 34,600 lbs with that truck! I know a 3500, I know a gooseneck...but 34,600 lbs....thats freaking insane...and suicidal. But I have no doubt that the V10 will do the pulling, the stopping is a whole 'nother story tho......

I meant axle seal that whole time. Couldn't think of the word. O well. I did check the bearings and they seem fine. They spin and don't make any noise. I got the seals in with no problem. Midas wanted $200 to do just the rear shoes and hardware. I have a buddy who used to work on brakes and he has offered to help me out. I got the shoes and hardware and I will have an expert on saturday. I looked at the f800 looked good until it wouldn;t start for 10 mins and then when it started it ran like crap and bogged down. It has 200,9xx miles on it so no wonder. Its a 94. Ill just pay someone who has a truck and some experience to move my boat 23 miles to the crane. I never did like pulling that boat... well stopping it anyways.. haha

And when I hauled that carver it was on a boat transportation trailer. and is a dually 3 axle trailer with fifth wheel hitch. I've been told that my 3500 can handle 22k with that set up.
