Hey...I came across an ebay listing of someone reconditioning our throttle bodies to 50mm. It looks like he doing what is on our diy...just wondering if anyone has bought from him or can give me an additional information?

I have an extra throttle body I was going to do it myself...but I don't have the drummel or right tools or right now the time...yea yea I know! :P

 

The guy I bought mine from on the Dakota Forums sells them on Ebay too, so I assume it's the same guy. It's had the horns on top and taper inside the bores removed and smoothed down and opens it up a couple mm. I noticed a small increase, granted it was one of the first things I did so I Imagine it would make more of a difference with the more mods you have. He's a cool guy and easy to deal with.

timibone you got a 5.9 get a 52mm i think you will be happyer

 

50mm or 52mm will be better than stock 48mm tapered or whatever it is. The 52mm, however, is recommended for the 5.9L V8, especially if you have other upgrade plans for it later.

 

Sounds like 1.7's are on they way?

 

If you tow with your 5.9 4x4 mayber better with the 50mm unless your planning on adding a number of other motor related upgrades a bit later

 

The other mods would be? 1.7 superchips or sct cam?
