Default headers question?

ok so a powder coating shop just opened up near me and was wondering can you powder coat headers with the ceramic coating? And will it last a while or burn off?

There's a paint called Flameproof that is meant for headers. Look into it. http://www.vhtpaint.com/flameproof.html

you can powder coat the headers now at the top bends out of the heads it will burn may not burn off but discolor alot.

we powder coated alot of 2 and 4 stroke racing exhaust for our quads and never had a real problem with it. but the dicoloration even ceramic coating discolors alittle.

oh and we did the powder coating ourselves w/ the stuff from harbor frieght and a old electric oven we found worked great.

I would make sure that the new shop is able to coat both inside and outside of the headers. If they only do the outside, I would look elsewhere cause good chance it could discolor.
Dont waste your time with VHT if you want it too last either

+1, ive used the VHT and the duplicolor engine enamel and they both suck, especially on smooth headers......on my stock manis i used the duplicolor and it flaked off but left a pleasant gray color and not the rusty brown, on my headers i have now i used the vht and its got flakes missin every where......i would imagine that if you have the patience to sand everywhere real good and go thru the heating process it wouldn tbee too bad tho,
