In my area they remove nothing, and instead mask off everything. That in and of itself means you will have paint issues in a few years. For a good paint job that you want to last, you will want someone that will R&I (Remove and install) many key parts. Some you can do yourself and save money. The one I went to the painters working there all spoke in Spanish and they all looked like they were fresh across the border and someone stuck a spray can in their hand and pointed them towards the car. The paint job I saw represented that also. I wouldn't give them my hard earned money for that.
I know! One junkyard in town had a sport front end, but the yard didnt want to separate the bumper and grille from the rest of the front clip. I think I'm gonna go back and offer up my front bumper and grille and some cash for it and see what they say. Most other yards have a hard time comin across them because theyre in such high demand.
yea i wish mine was asport but dang u cant find them any where that sucks i agree ur truck would look good with the sport front end lmc sells them but they are way out of my price range
I saw 2 at the junkyard a couple of weeks ago. One black one hit a pole and the other (Flame Red) flipped on its side and cracked the whole cover. I imagine that the red ones support was all bent up too.
Thats depressing. I found a 97 that had the conversion done, but it had been hit in the corner of the bumper. The guy only wanted 1000 for it. Too bad it also took out the viper hood and sport grille that I wouldve taken off of it as well.
Hopefully someone is parting out a Ram Sport at the Mopar Nationals this weekend so I can snag one! A guy had a Sport Off-Road being parted out, but it was already gone. I almost bought some Off-Road coils and blocks from him, but I ran out of money!
