But are there any water pump manufacturers that you would recommend over another? Or should going to Kragen and getting one be fine for my application? Lol

I went to Kragen (now Oreillys) and got the one with the lifetime warranty, same for the clutch fan. If it brakes, I get a new one free, what more can you ask for.

If you mean the pump from Kragen, it's actually lasted me about 4 years already, can't complain. If it goes bad I'll replace it myself like I did the first one. No big deal really. Their lifetime warranty stuff isn't all that bad. They don't want you to take it back cause they loose money that way. The bottom of the line stuff is a different story. That will probably last you a year.

I'm not knockin' the quality of Kragen parts, It's the lifetime warranty thing I'm talking about. Most of us here can do the work ourselves, but what about the people that don't, and get the part for free but have to pay labor to do the job again? Not arguing, just sayin'.

Anything except the bottom of the line **** and anything from AutoZone. I got mine from Advance 4 years ago and it works great. Just dont use the gasket that comes with it. Mine started to leak a year after I put it on. Just get a good Fel-Pro gasket.

^i'm going to disagree. Autozone's duralast brand is fine, it probably comes from the same plant in mexico as where the Advance line comes from. lifetime warranty. Also i don't think there is anything wrong with the gasket. i'd put a very light coat of rtv on both sides and go around the bolt holes and put rtv on the threads of the longer bolts that go into the water jacket.
