Ram Cruise Control Problem

Ram Cruise Control Problem
Hey everybody.
I bought a 95 Ram 2500 2wd extended cab with a Cummins about six months ago. When I bought it, the cruise control didn't work. The brake/ABS lamps were also on. After reading on this sight, I've figured that the Rear axle speed sensor is causing the brake/ABS lamp. My question is, could the faulty speed sensor be causing the cruise not to work? I've checked the cruise control fuse, and it's still good. Is there anything else I need to check? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your airbag/horn/cruise control clockspring is the most likely culprit of your problem and is a very well known issue. Your truck may fall under the lifetime free replacement from the dealer as there was a recall on this issue for several year make models of chrysler vehicles. Have the dealer run your vin to see if you qualify. If you don't it is my understanding that for your year vehicle it is only available from the dealer anyway and costs around 300 bucks for just the part.
