I have posted a couple questions about gears before but i was wondering if i run 36" tires and have 4.88 gears will i be able to haul a 20' ski boat. My fiance has decided my next purchase is a boat lol.

Can't tell you without knowing at least the estimated weight of boat and trailer, and a little info about your truck. Model year, 1500/2500/3500, engine, etc.
Did you already put the gears in? Probably won't be able to get 4.88s in those wimpy axles. Might not even get 4.56s in them, but I think that's the biggest you can go on the 60. Better consult a good gear shop.
easily!!! i pulled a 24" dual tandom axle car trailer 1600 miles loaded with about 2000 pounds loaded onto it. im runnin 35s with 4.56s. i do NOT see a problem.

4.88's can be purchased for the half ton axles, but that is the lowest (due to the 9.25" rear). As far as the dana 60 goes (which he dosnt even have), I believe you can purchase up to 7.17's (just in case you wanna run 54's )
I think 4.88's and 36's is a great tire/gear combo that should serve you just fine. But dont go thinking you can tow the world just cause you have gears (although a single axle trailer/boat will be just fine).
