Driver's Side Door Pin Removal
#12
My drivers side is the same way, sagging and all.. The bushing is torn completly. Ive gotta get a pin and bushing kit to fix it. I think i found them on advance auto parts's site for $7.30. Not bad! But i wonder if there's drilling involved with this one, like somone said eirlier on in this thread. I dont really wanna do any drilling on my ram in that tight of a space... If i slip. Oh shyte... lol

That was me that said you need to drill and yes thats the kit and you need two of them to do the whole door and you will need them because you have to pull the door off the truck to do it because you can not get a drill in that space and drill correctly. The bad part is that the friggin spring will pop out that keeps tension on the door keeper and it is a major pain in the *** to get back in.

Sorry VW I got carried away and forgot to answer your original question. There are little clips on the pins and I simply used a screwdriver to snap them off then tap the pin out with a punch and hammer. You have to get the punch lined up fairly vertical to drive them out easier without lateral pressure.

The kit from advance will do your keeper bolt and spring section.
