Default confused 1391 code

I have a 2001 3/4 ton with a 5.9 4x4. It will not start in the morning, spit and sputters, stalls, like an old vehicle when you leave the choke on. Then after say 20 times it starts and no problems till the next day. Its putting out the 1391 code. I replaced the coil three times, new. Replaced the o-rings on the injectors and cleaned the injector lines out, but still no luck. Please help.

You should get a gauge and check fuel pressure, but I think your problem is the IAC on back of the TB. You can remove it and clean it and the bore in the TB it installs too and try it. Also you may have a leaking plenum. Do a search on here for plenum and you'll learn all about it.

Well, you need to check out everything else too, before you tear into that first.

Well I had already replaced the AIC, a dodge mechanic told me to do that, but never mentioned the plenum. I also have checked the fuel pressure. I bought this truck 3 months ago and it hasen't ran well since. Only has 50k miles on it and looks mint. BUT. I appreciate all the help!

There are ways to check it, have you searched here for that? And if it's bad, that cat is gone or not far behind. Confirm these things before you go spending money.
