yeah thats the first thing I checked... cleaned the port w/ carb cleaner, cleaned the IACV and no change. Tried the one off the old motor.. no change.

bought a new one from the dodge dealer and no change.

motor starts right up, revs to 1.5k or so then dies immediately. makes no attempt to idle. if you keep the rpm's at around 900 it idles perfect. disconnect the iacv and it idles perfect.

I know this will sound weird but how about going old school and makin sure the pcv valve isn't bad.

maybe a bad iac from the dealer. or the asd relay (in the power block in the engine).

If it's not a defective part, it sounds like a vacuum leak.

incorrect heat range on the spark plugs will cause pinging if its not a blown plenum gasket. do you have the correct plugs?

-cleaned PCV and the pintle moves freely
-replaced gaskets upper and lower on tb

plugs are brand new champions unsure of the heat range I'll pull one out in a few.

just did a fuel pressure test and it shows 47 PSI at idle. correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't it be 50psi at minimum?

47 pounds is fine, how do you know the pintle moves freely?

shake the pcv and it rattles around... also air flows through it failry easily.

here is today's findings:

- fuel pressure 47PSI
- did the TSB test for the IM gasket and it builds pressure perfectly. shut the motor down at 3psi. No oil pooling in the IM.
- unplugged the upstream 02 and no change
- brand new IACV and today I changed the TPS
- replaced the ASD relay
- siphoned all gas out of the tank and replaced w/ new gas
- vacuum test showed perfect vacuum w/ minimal fluctuation keeping foot on gas and idle at 800.

plugs are RC12MCC4

WTF!!! Honda mechanic going crazy here any other ideas?

Shoot a video of what it's doing and maybe that will give us some ideas. Try starting it and letting it do it's thing a few times on the same video for comparison. Maybe show the inside of the engine bay and maybe someone will spot something odd. It's worth a shot.
