Default Clinking/Clanging feeling in Steering Wheel and Floorboard

I know this is going to be hard to describe, but I'll try. I don't drive the truck much, but I drove it for the first time in about a month today and noticed a clinking or clanging feeling. I noticed it before, but this is the first I'm posting about it. I felt it in the steering wheel and I could swear I felt in on the floor board???? It's very faint, but it's there.

There's not sound, just a feeling. Is this the track bar problem that I heard about with these trucks? Granted...my suspension is shot and needs to be completely replaced, so that doesn't help either.

I was wondering if anyone thought this was a track bar, wheel bearing, or suspension issue...or much worse? I don't have much experience with these trucks so your knowledge is much appreciated.

thanks,
pf

Do you feel this clanking when turning or all the time when driving? That will help narrow it down a bit.

Check your bolt torque on the shocks. It might be loose.

That's the only idea that I'll share until you provide more info.

Pretty much all the time when driving straight down the road. It's weird. I don't feel it while turning. It's mostly when going highway speeds and going straight down the road. I was thinking the track bar, but I don't really know. I was wondering if this was a common problem.

Grab the steering column (where it comes out the firewall)where it connects to the intermediate shaft under the brake booster and see if it wobbles around. Check the small ujoints on the intermediate shaft also.

I have a similar problem, but it's audible and from my understanding, it has to do with the shaft and possibly the u joint of the steering column.

Can you feel it in the accelerator? I sure can.

Also, if it's the same as mine, it's not the track bar. That was replaced with no results for the better.

Doesn't sound like the trackbar at all. I agree with checking the steering column and checking your shock bolts. One other possibility(unlikely) is your body mount bolt is loose. If you have a body lift though it is possible that the bolt isn't tight though.

YES! Exactly. I can feel it in the accelerator too. So, if it's the steering column problem, is that fixable? What parts do you all recommend?
