Default 1996 Dodge Ram Diesel- Exhaust Rattle

I have a rattle that almost sounds like air being released on a cold start when sitting at idle. I've went under when this happened and clamped the exhaust with my hands and seems to fix it it. The problem is that I've checked all the brackets holding the exhaust and they are all tight. Any idea what it may be? It's a 4" exhaust.

If anyone can help I'd apprciate it.

Bill

Mostly gasser guys here but will give it a shot. I assume you are using band style clamps. If so some of them use a small insert that fills in where the clamp comes together. If that is not there I have seen them come loose and or rattle around.

id say exhaust clamp as speeddemon said, and my method of fixing it, cut a hole in your hood and run hood stack right off the turbo
