Default metal in my cylinder

Broken piece of center punch in my #3 cylinder trying to remove it with a small magnet. Any ideas, don't wanna rebuild.

if the magnet doesnt work, you could try mechanical fingers. or take a piece of duck tape or something and wrap it around like a pen or something and try to stick it to the piece of center punch (kinda like the gum on a stick trick, except no gum, and no stick lol).

Tie a string around the magnet and drop it in.

Use one of those magnetic pick up tools. Yea, it will stick to the sides, but you can push it in and one it grabs just pull it back out slowly. My pick up magnet (Craftsman) is cylindrical and slender, so it would fit in there.

How about a shop vac using the spark plug hole with the valves open? Just make sure the vac is empty and check it to be sure you were successful.

if that thing gets wedged between the cylinder and the cylinder wall it could do some scratching and that wouldn't be good.

i'd recommend a piece of wire, with a few rounds of very sticky duct tape, about 1" long, wrapped around the end, sticky side out. use the good, super sticky duct tape, not the cheap stuff. make sure it will stay on the wire and doesn't just fall off. bend a slight curve in the wire and poke it in and "go bottom fishing".

I've tried a magnetic pick up tool, and a shop vac, didn't work. And yes this is through the plug hole.
