Default amps

i have a 1999 1500 4by with the infinity speakers and it sounds as if my front speakers are blown yet the rears are still goin. since the amps for both front and rear speakers are attached to the fronts is there a way to replace just the speakers and keep the amps since they seem to be fine? btw if i have no idea what im saying let me know.

Do you have an aftermarket stereo? If so, you need to ditch the Infinity amps as they do not like to be driven by a high level signal. Mine sounded horrible after I replaced my radio, but once I removed those amps and let the stereo's onboard amp drive the speakers it was great. The wiriing is tricky, though, since the Infinity amps drive both the fronts and rears.

1+ Miami. Get rid of the stock amps and run all new wiring to the head unit. It's the best move you can make.
