Default Engine Restore , what's your take

I'm really not much for the miracle in a can solutions , but , since I read about another member giving it a shot , I figure , my beast is old , well beaten , and has a lower end knock (not too loud and goes away with RPM increase of idle) .

So , I reluctantly bought a can of so called junk for $17 (canadian , grrr) and proceded to dump it in ontop of the fresh oil I just changed out last week . Drove it to the store and back , maybe 10 mins . I get back , no more knocking sound , it was acually quite a nice smooth purr coming from the old girl .

I got back in this morning , and the same on a cold start , prring like a kitten . Oil pressure is running a little higher , and after a 1/2 burn down the back roads , seems to be more peppy too

Well , I won't say I'm sold on it yet , but , I have to say I am impressed with it . Probably just a bandaid fix , but heck , if the knock stays away , she'll get another can at the next oil change for sure .

Thats my take , what's yours ?

I have never used it but have read reviews done by experts that claim it works like it is supposed to. One of the very few things you can buy that is not snake oil. I would use it.

I've used it before, can't really say I could tell a difference.
