Default Whats this sound?!

So ive been noticing this sound coming from my tranny when it is cold. it sounds like it is grinding something and i really want to findout what the problem is so i can fix it before anything more happens. It makes the noise the loudest when it is in drive.

Heres a vid, lemme know what you guys think it is.

I'm not sure what the whining noise it, but I'm going to jack your thread a bit. What is that rattling noise? Mine does that when it's cold, but stops once warmed up.

I'm pretty sure it's the rattle hes talking about, the high pitched sound is just the camera mic. I doubt it's your tranny, crawl around an look for loose things like possible the cat heat shield or possibly busted up cat innards,

I found my rattle. I took a screw driver and hit the exhaust all the way back. Found out the heat shields in the back by the spare tire are loose. Might have something to do with that small dropoff that bent my bumper and exhaust pipe upwards

Same thing happened on my 318 powered Ram. Looks like a little welding will take care of it.

mine must be from the cat because i dont have a tailpipe. all i have is a flowmaster in place of the stock muffler with no tailpipe. im just hoping thats all it is. And why would a rattle go away once its warmed up?
