So i went to get an alignment the other day and they told me i needed all 4 ball joints 2 axle u-joints and a drag link for this they wanted 1700 for this needless to say i laughed and walked out call napa and for premium parts I can get everything for 400 thought you guys might find some humor in this

 

Yeah I'm so tired of how auto places can charge insane prices for some things. When I went to get my alignment I needed tie rods and wheel bearings. It was gonna be $800 for just the tie rods. So needless to say I went on eBay, got the tie rods for about $54 and took probably an hour and a half or so.

 

$1700. wow. they must be trying to make the month all in one job.
i think i'd avoid that shop in the future.

 

I was told I needed a track bar when mine was done. Everybody wanted crazy amounts of money for one. I got one from Advance for under 200 and did it myself. I figured what the point in spending 500 or what ever on a dodge one that would need replaced again in a year when I can spend 200. Plus if I ever do put a life on the truck I'll be replacing it with a Thuren anyway

 

just glad I'm not the only one who thought this was absurd
