Default Question about tranny and engine

Well my first question is about my engine it has 166k miles on it and it starts right up every time has good power doesnt leak oil, but it burns like 2 quarts every 60 miles, is it about time to get a new engine or this one rebuilt? My other question is about my tranny it has 166k miles on it and its started to shift late or a lil hard, would that be the stall converter causing that or does that need rebuilt too.
thanks

Oil leak - possible plenum leak
Tranny shifts - possible bad fluid, need band adjustment

The eating oil is probably a plenum leak, like Aubrey stated. Doesn't require a rebuild, just a Hughes plenum plate and a Felpro gasket. Good for life.

Or the Hughes FI Intake. Good for life that way to, and more power/MPGs, but much more expensive.

Beware also though because if you are burning oil then it could be blown head gaskets too! Make sure to go through the proper diagnosis to figure out exactly whats wrong before you tear into things (vacuum test for plenum and compression test for heads).

Good Luck!
