Default Oil Pressure Sending Unit

I just need someone to confirm what i think i already know. Is the pressure sensor on the back of the engine block near the distributer on the passenger side??

That is CORRECT for the 5.9L

There is also a special socket that makes it much easier to get it out & in.

thanks guys, my pressure sensor is aparently catiwampus cuz i have no oil pressure untill i start movin

Just so you know though, I picked up this socket when I swapped mine out and it worked great for getting the old one out but the bore diameter inside the socket wasn't big enough for the new unit.

Luckily I was working at a machine shop at the time with a lathe and we just milled a little bit of material out of the inside to get it to fit!

It looks a lot like a spark plug socket.
