Issues after engine overhaul.
ok a few things.
the reset of the pcm is not your problem. it resets to standard parameters, which if anything, will be richer and faster than any learned settings. so its not going to get any more powerful in 10 miles or 20 miles or 300 miles.
its very possible that the TPS is the problem, since it tells the pcm where your foot is, which in turn tells the injectors how much gas to squirt in.
the IAC is responsible for idle. so if you've got an idle problem, look there. if your problem is not related to idle, don't get side tracked on IAC.
is your new timing chain standard timing, as opposed to 4* advanced or 4* retarded ? if so, then its not timing related.
so tell me more about how the throttle response if phenom. but its a dog. that seems contradictory... are you saying that it runs good at some part of your run and crappy at some other portion. i'm confused.
i'm not real sure about the MAP, except that its expensive.
tps and iac at any parts store is fine. they run about $40-50 each.
both are held in by #25 torx. how could you strip that ?
