Default bad fuel mileage??

I have been reading about all this bad fuel mileage everyone keeps talking about. Well after 3 tanks I am averaging 13.2 in town ( according to the truck) and 14.4 according to my calculations and GPS. Thats not much worse than my old worn out 93 2wd silverado was getting. I have been ******* it just a tad. so I might get more when I get used to the truck and the new wears off. My truck is a 99 2500 4x4 with 4:10 gears. I am pretty happy with that.

These trucks are not known for great mileage, and I don't really think that was a consideration when they were made. If I remember correctly, gas was less than 99 cents back then. It's just one of those things you have to live with.

With a V10 I'm getting 11.33, pretty good as far as I am concerned. If I could get 13 I would be one happy camper, but I'm not going to pout about it.

bad gas mileage is just one of the prices ya gotta pay to roll around in a big truck, but in my opinion its very worth it

Not to thread jack, but I'll do it anyway. has anyone used the fitch fuel system? I've heard others talk about it but no one ever gave it a review. It looks promising.
