Default Bouncing at 45 mph

Would a bad front knuckle on the passenger side cause you to feel a vibration/bouncing underneath the cab area? I just replaced the tie rods but not the track bar. What does the track bar do?

Look in the other thread you asked this question. As far as the trac bar goes, it aligns the axle to keep it centered with the front of the truck. It should have no play, have some one turn the steering wheel side to side while you get underneath and watch it. Look at the rest of the steering components while you are under it.

Default OK Here it is

I had the tires replaced(they had to use heat and hit them with a rubber dead blow to get them off the rear). Since then there has been a vibration/ bouncing in the truck. I tried to have an alignment done, they said the tie rods were loose and the u-joint on the front axel, passenger side was binding. So far I had the tires rebalanced, tie rods replaced and an alignment. I still have the bouncing/vibration.

So you have not replaced the u-joints you know are bad? Fix what you know is bad first, then diagnose what problems you continue to have.

heat and a hammer? if i have a wheel thats seized to the drum i just kick one side and it pops right off. are you sure that the heat didn't warp your rim? one thing you could try is rotate your tires and put the one that got heated on the front to see if it changes the source of the vibration. or you could even take your spare and replace the one that got heated with it to see if that makes it go away. if the spare deal does it then you need to go to that shop and tell them that they owe you a rim.

edit- was it both back tires? if so then just rotate them to the front and take it for a spin.

Check the ujoints on the driveshafts. And go to a tire shop and have the wheel balanced and ask them if any of them are badly out of round.

if it is the driveshaft then you can have the balance checked at a driveline shop, the kind of shop that makes custom driveshafts.

Default Still bouncing

Since the last post I have changed the tires again. Put on a little less aggressive tread. Still no luck. The truck still bounces at about 45 mph.
