Vibration damper to crankshaft bolt, what size?

dammit. here's how this works....
you ask a question. somebody answers it (even if its you).
then 100 more people come along and benefit by doing a search and reading the question and the ANSWER. like this:
Q. what is the size of the crank bolt on the harmonic balancer ?
A. 1-1/4 in. socket is $6 at autozone. that's 31.75mm so 32mm might work, but would be a tad loose.
