Used a tow strap hooked to a 1/2ton chevy to pull my stock muffler off. Also used a tow strap to install my FM muffler. I had a piece of fencing wire, some duck tape, and some bailing twine holding my TV cable to the throttle body. For Memorial day, 4th of July, and any time we go up to silver lake I have two 3x6' American flags on 5' poles stuck in my bed rails. (Hell yes I love my country) Buried it past the doors in mud twice, and had her stuck in snow banks higher than the top of the cab. Used an assortment of ratchet straps to hold my tailgate up when the latch failed and broke both tailgate cables. I've hauled 3 snowmobiles up north on a trailer that was only meant to carry 1. The only presets on my radio are set to country stations, and my truck is used as the portable radio at work. I love my truck.
Don't even get me started on all the rigged up crap on my '88 comanche and my '75 w200. Sometimes I scare myself when I come up with ideas...

I guess I would have to say the Chuck Norris custom built cow catcher on the front would have to top the list. Its amazing what a redneck can do with a saw zaw, grinder, welder and a 5x8 sheet of steel.

my dad use to chain the engine down when the motor mounts went. he hoisted his truck into a tree just for kicks one day and had a hell of a time getting it back on its wheels(the winch was in the box).

i also used a come a long hooked to my dads dodge to get my carrier out of the front differential.
i've used straps hooked up to the hitch to pull fence posts out of the ground.
i used my truck with a series of straps to keep tension on a gigantic tree so it wouldn't fall in the road while a friend cut it.
to get my grill on the back deck i laid some car bars against one side and had my truck on the other side and pulled it up the car bars. that grill is a monster, 2 guys can barely move it.
i've unloaded stuff out of the bed with the back up and slam on the brakes maneuver.
i've actually used my brush guard. by that i mean that i ain't scared to take it off road. one time i was riding down the side of the train tracks to go play in a couple mud holes and my friend had his 01 sierra behind me. there was a tree laying across the path we were going down so i just ran it over and it broke the top off then when my friend cam rolling up his truck caught the broken end behind the front fender and it scratched it all the way to the rear end.
i've backed up to ponds and sat on the tailgate fishing a few times.
i've used my brush guard as a rod holder.
i probably have a few more redneck things that i've done with my truck but i can't think of them now.
maybe the pipe was flared out too much for the new one to slip over easily.

hmmm, discussing the meaning and proper use of the word 'digress' in a thread about the most redneck thing done to your truck. I just signed up and already this is an interesting site.
and I'm not sure you can say the guy that buried his truck up to the doors in the mud is close to "ghetto". there aren't usually big mud holes in the ghetto are there?

Dr Donut, I had to pull the tailpipe back about 5" in order to get the new muffler to fit. The hangers didn't have enough play in them so we just hooked one end of a 9"x30' tow strap to the tailpipe and the other end to my buddy's chevy. I layed under my truck to position the muffler while my friend inched his chevy forward. When I had it lined up my friend backed his truck up and the tailpipe sprung back into position. There's a LOT of pressure on my exhaust system now. I don't have to use any exhaust clamps.
