Default Should i upgrade my steering shaft?

Well i am looking on jegs and they sell a borgeson telescoping steering shaft. it has the stock steering shaft and i have seen where some peoples wear out after only 4000 miles of driving. and they where out from bigger tires also

It works with a three inch body lift which i have and am needing to install so i was wondering it instead of cutting and welding my steering shaft should i just upgrade while im in there.

Years ago, people were putting the Borgeson shafts on in hopes of curing the steering issues only to discover the problem was a multitude of bad Dodge parts. I haven't heard of anyone in at least two years putting one of these on.
