Hey gang I have a question and it's probably been addressed however here's one more for the Gipper. On occasion as I'm driving down the hwy at about 72.5 mph ( I guess that's the speed because it's the line between 70 and 75 mph ) anyway as I'm driving the truck will lurch once as if someone unplugged the coil for a split second. I checked the coil wires and they are attached. The fuel pump is new ( installed it last year ) and the transmission shifts fine. I can make it duplicate sometimes around that speed and once it did it around 65 mph. It used to do this every 3-4 months however recently it's starting to occur more often ( about once every 1.5 months ). Any ideas?

Sounds like a misfire. Does the CEL light up at all (even just a quick flash) when this happens?
When was the last time you did a basic tune-up? Wires, cap & rotor, plugs?
If your wires are new or you plan on replacing them soon, make sure and follow TSB 18-48-98.

I'd try a can of seafoam first. it may be a screwy injector and seafoam is some pretty good stuff. then again with the problem only happening every 3-4 months it may be spark related. or a wire on one of the injectors doesn't have optimum contact. pull the injector wires and clean them out with contact cleaner then plug them back in.
