Default Unidentified Plug?

Hey guys and Gals I have as you can probablly tell I have an 01 1500 and just below the head light behind the bumper there is a plug that has nothing plugged into it. Can anyone tell me what this is for? I do hot have the factory fogs could this ba a plug for that? If not I'm just wondering what it's for If I need a wire for my fogs when I install them I may be able to use it for a hot wire if possible. Thanks

It is for the foglights, if I'm not mistaken. I'm not sure if there is wiring for the switch though. Hopefully someone will be able to verify.

Describe the plug.... It could be the fogs, or it could be the overhead display's plug for the temp sensor. Depends on what the plug looks like. The ATS (overhead) should be bolted to the radiator, but on vehicles this old, it's open season as to what is still in the stock location or not.

The plug for that is by the under-hood lamp. I know, I have the harness in my garage.

May be true for 98 plus, but 97 below, the sensor was in front of the radiator.
EDIT: You are full of chit. if the ATS sensor was there, it would give false temp readings all the time. The sensor needs to be in a place where it gets fresh air. It would have to be in front of the motor...

No, the plug is there. Then there is a harness that goes from that plug to the grille next to the hood latch. Show me a pic of your setup. Maybe we can clear this up!

It is as Purpl states... at least, on the 1999-2001s anyway.

Plug next to the under hood lamp, connects to a wiring harness that goes underneath the under hood insulation, and reemerges next to the hood latch, then goes to the sensor.

Like Jason said, it has to be a redesign between the 95-97 rams and the 98-01 rams.
Here are some pics that might help you all out.

If he's talking about what I think he's talking about it's probably the fog light connectors. It's easy to tell because there are two plugs dangling under there one on each side. Laramies sensor would only use one plug.
