Default Transmission shifts back and forth

1998 1500 5.2l rebuilt tranny 35k ago I purchased this truck about 5k ago
Shortly after the tranny shifts into 3rd gear it will downshifts back into 2nd then upshift after a few seconds back into 3rd Will only do this with medium throttle when accelerating. Seems like it shouldn't downshift so easily when accelerating. I have no other problems with the tranny except this. The fluid level is correct, filter and fluid changed. I tried a few different adjustments on the throttle kickdown with no avail and went back to the original setting.

Delete check valve and have the bands adjusted. While your having the bands adjusted have them readjust your kickdown cable.

Update Fixed
Let my Dad use my truck last month and he found the throttle valve kick down cable not adjusted correctly under the hood. Shifts normal now. I wasn't adjusting the cable correctly. Thanks Dad

Yeah I know. The cable was out of adjustment by 1/4 of a inch to short.
